  1. Kaolinkid

I’ve not purchased non-prescription safety glasses in 20+ years. My employer paid for my prescription glasses. I recently had eye surgery that improved my vision to 20/15 (awesome right?).I was issued a pair of safety glasses from my employer for those who don’t require a prescription. They just didn’t fit well at all. Therefore, I went shopping online. The classic look of these caught my attention. The reviews were exceptional. And it had a lot of reviews. So I gave them a try. I’m glad I did. They fit extremely well. They look to be well made and should last for a while. Life span is my only unknown at this point. Time will tell. I recommend the purchase of these glasses.

One month in and the biggest complaint I have is that the frames are flared at the ends and would interfere with my ball cap. It’s like the frame is too long and then flares outward which I’ve not seen that design before so it has been annoying. I think the glasses are sturdy, bifocal placement is fine but know that these seem to run large. I’m a pretty big fella and they seemed just a bit too big. Unfortunately I lost them while at the beach so I only had them for a month. Overall they seemed well constructed but I would have loved to have seen what kind of endurance they really have. Usually the cheaper brands break within a month or two, these seemed to be doing just fine. Hinges are stiff, lenses mounted solid.Update*** second pair, frame broke within a month. I had them on my ball cap and when I pulled them off the frame snapped at the nose piece. Won’t be getting a third pair, not at this price.

While these glasses are sleek and stylish their construction is absolute rubbish. Second pair I have owned and both pairs broke the same way. I did like the way they looked and feel so I gave them another try. I wear them 8 to 10 hours a day at work. First the gray nose pieces will begin to fall off and then one of the black extensions that slip over your ears will snap off at the same exact spot. Way better options out there for less money.

I am pretty pleased with these glasses. I’m a machinist going on 50 and close up vision and clearity have been going south pretty quick for the past year. I have a pair of readers that I would use to read my blueprint dimensions and a pair of safety glasses that I would have to switch back and forth with between reading my print, machine screen, watching my tool approaches and cut paths. Now I can just use one pair for both. I do however wish the magnifying section was just a little bit bigger, mostly on the width but over all nice glasses that do what they are intended to do. The come with a really nice case, cord and cleaning cloth as well.

Looks great and does its job. Just a little big for people with smaller heads.

  6. sguillory456

My husband wears these for work, and he needed a new pair. They were shipped quickly.

  7. M. Klevemann

They work great for seeing line for tying knots. I am a jetski fisherman and the also double as great “goggles” for when you are moving.

I’m an RN I am now required to wear eye protection at all times when providing patient care. I need eye protection that works. Being of the age that I need reading glasses I struggled with regular reading glasses combined with the required safety glasses and face shield I have to wear, making it very difficult to see clearly while inserting IV’s. Then I found the Tool Freak Bifocal Safety Readers and BOOM, PROBLEM SOLVED! These glasses are outstanding! I was going to buy less expensive glasses but after reading reviews and going to the old adage “you get what you pay for” so I decided on the Tool Freak Brand. Not only do they provide great optical clarity but they are very comfortable, I wear them all day long, 13 to 14 hour days that is, no candy a$$ 8 hour days here. I’ve let other healthcare providers try them and they immediately ordered their own. I even got a second pair for home.Pros: Great optical clarity all around. Excellent coverage. Very comfortable. Stylish.Cons: I haven’t found any yet.Bottom line, I feel very well protected with these while carrying out my duties as a Registered Nurse and have no issues seeing to insert IV’s with these. Great product! Thanks Tool Freak!

I bought these to wear under a welding hood and while welding. I was hesitant, not really fond of the orange. Though I do lay things down so they are easy to find. I don’t ever take them off. Super comfortable, so clear you forget you have them on! Get some, you’ll be happy you did!

I have a large head and these fit well and should last quite a while. I have gone through MANY pairs of cheaper sunglasses that appear fairly similar to these. They even come with a nice case and bag.

I work in healthcare and we are now required to wear eye protection at all times. I need reading glasses so the employer provided eye protection was not working for me. I was constantly switching back and forth between my reading glasses and my eye protection. These safety glasses were a great solution. It took a couple of days to get used to the bifocal part but now they are working well for me and serving the intended purpose. I can leave them on at all times, whether I am going in a patient’s room or looking at a chart. The quality is very good and I think they will be very durable.

I’ve purchased 2 pair of these in the last year and have broken both. Too bad because I liked the fit and look. Won’t buy again.

So far I have used these protective glasses while cleaning out my garage, which took all day and I am amazed at how comfortable they are. I have worn them in my house, but not for long periods. They fit perfectly and are comfortable. I would prefer that the magnifying portion (2.5) was just a little bigger and stretched out a little more across the bottom, but I believe once I get used to these they will be fine. Quite frankly I wanted something to wear over my eyes during this pandemic. As winter comes in I am concerned that the people in and around my office building who do not wear masks may have a greater ability to infect others. While these are not air tight goggles, I think they provide some reasonable cover. The cases and the cleaning cloth are extras I did not expect. This is a very nice product. And worth the money.
